1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Pointera browser extension and web application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Pointera provides an AI-powered assistant through a browser extension and associated web dashboard. We connect your inputs and browser context to third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate responses and perform tasks.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service:
- In any way that violates applicable local or international laws and regulations.
- To transmit or generate harmful, illegal, abusive, or explicitly offensive content.
- To attempt to bypass, exploit, or reverse-engineer the API limits or the Service's security mechanisms.
- For automated programmatic usage (e.g., scraping, bots) without explicit authorization via our provided API endpoints.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Pointera and its licensors. The generated output produced by the AI models based on your prompts belongs to you, subject to the terms of the respective underlying AI providers.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Pointera is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service or the AI-generated responses. You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy of any output generated by the Service.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Pointera, nor its developers, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
7. Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
9. Research & Educational Nature
Pointera is an experimental project. You acknowledge that the Service is being used for research and educational purposes. As such, features may be removed, data may be reset, and service availability is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to monitor usage patterns for research improvements while maintaining our commitment to privacy as outlined in our Policy.
